How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Every tattoo is different, so every plan is too. Each session breaks up a layer of ink, and then your body needs time to clear it before the next one. Here's a general idea of what to expect.

About 8 weeks apartgives your body time to clear the broken-up ink between sessions.
What affects your number
- Skin type. Your skin tone guides which settings are safest for you.
- Location. Ankles, wrists, hands, and feet usually take longer.
- Ink density. Professional tattoos often hold more, deeper ink.
- Layering. Cover-ups and reworked tattoos have more ink to clear.
- Scarring. Scar tissue can make ink harder to reach.
- Colors. Black usually responds best; some colors are more stubborn.
